Acceptance of Terms
By downloading, accessing, or using Granosi, you agree to these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the application.
Eligibility
Granosi is intended for users who are at least 13 years old, or the minimum age required in your country to consent to data processing and online services, whichever is higher. If you are under the required age, you may use Granosi only with the consent and supervision of a parent or legal guardian.
Description of the Service
Granosi is a mobile language-learning application that helps you practice a target language through daily writing, translation exercises, grammar practice, and AI-assisted conversations. Core features include:
- Translation and daybook practice with AI feedback
- Grammar-focused practice
- Chat practice with fictional AI assistants
- Practice ideas generated by AI
- Optional encrypted cloud backup of your local progress
- A home screen widget (Android)
Some features require an internet connection and a Granosi account. AI responses are generated by third-party language models and may not always be accurate.
Account Registration and Security
You may sign in using supported authentication providers:
- Android: Google account (Firebase Authentication)
- iOS: Apple ID (Sign in with Apple)
You are responsible for maintaining the security of your device and account credentials. Notify us promptly at translation.daybook@gmail.com if you believe your account has been compromised.
User Content and License
You retain ownership of the text and content you submit through Granosi, including diary entries, translations, and chat messages ("User Content").
By submitting User Content to features that use AI, backup, or learning memory, you grant Granosi a limited, non-exclusive, worldwide license to process, store (where described in our Privacy Policy), and use that content solely to operate and improve the service — including generating feedback, maintaining optional encrypted backups, and personalizing your learning experience.
You agree not to submit content that is illegal, harmful, abusive, harassing, discriminatory, sexually explicit, or that contains unnecessary sensitive personal data (such as government IDs, financial account numbers, or medical records).
Artificial Intelligence Disclaimer
Granosi uses artificial intelligence to provide translations, corrections, chat responses, and practice suggestions. AI output may be incomplete, outdated, or incorrect. Granosi does not guarantee the accuracy, fluency, or suitability of AI-generated content.
Granosi is an educational tool. It does not provide professional translation, legal, medical, or other expert advice. You are solely responsible for how you use AI-generated content.
Subscriptions and Payments (Granosi Plus)
Granosi Plus is a monthly auto-renewing subscription available on
Android through Google Play Billing (product ID:
granosi_plus_monthly). It is not currently available on iOS.
Plus benefits may include skipping the daily ad required to start AI practice, a higher daily AI token allowance, and expanded chat memory. Exact benefits are described in the app and may evolve over time.
Payment is charged to your Google Play account. Subscriptions renew automatically unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period. You can manage or cancel your subscription in Google Play account settings.
Prices vary by country and may change with notice where required by law. Refunds are handled according to Google Play policies; Granosi does not process direct refunds for in-app purchases.
Free Tier, Tokens, and Advertising
Free users may need to watch a rewarded video advertisement (Google AdMob) to unlock their first AI practice session each day. AI features consume tokens from a daily allowance. Additional tokens may be earned by watching rewarded ads, subject to availability and technical limits.
Tokens are virtual units used to access AI features. They have no cash value, are not transferable, and may be adjusted for maintenance, abuse prevention, or product balance.
We do not guarantee the availability of ads, token rewards, or uninterrupted access to free-tier features.
Cloud Backup
Granosi offers optional encrypted cloud backup of your local progress:
- Android: Google Drive
- iOS: iCloud
Backup is initiated by you. Encrypted backup files are stored in your cloud account. Granosi does not read your decrypted diary content from cloud storage. You are responsible for maintaining access to your cloud account and backup encryption keys. Cloud backup does not replace your own data export practices.
Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use Granosi for unlawful purposes
- Attempt to disrupt, overload, or reverse engineer the service
- Automate access, scrape content, or bypass token, ad, or paywall limits
- Submit malware, spam, or content that infringes third-party rights
- Impersonate others or misrepresent your affiliation
Intellectual Property
Granosi, its name, branding, user interface, and original content (excluding your User Content) are owned by Granosi or its licensors. Fictional AI assistants and their personas are part of the Granosi experience and may not be copied or reused without permission.
You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works of Granosi except as permitted by applicable law or with our written consent.
Service Availability and Changes
We may update, modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of Granosi at any time, including features, token limits, subscription benefits, or supported platforms. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free service. Maintenance, third-party outages, or technical issues may cause temporary unavailability.
Termination
You may stop using Granosi at any time. You may request account and associated data deletion as described in our Privacy Policy.
We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms, create risk for other users, or where required by law. Upon termination, provisions that by their nature should survive (such as disclaimers and limitations of liability) will remain in effect.
Disclaimer of Warranties
Granosi is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement, to the fullest extent permitted by law.
Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Granosi and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of data, profits, or goodwill arising from your use of the application.
Our total liability for any claim related to Granosi shall not exceed the amount you paid to Granosi in the twelve (12) months before the claim, or one hundred US dollars (USD 100), whichever is greater, where such limitation is permitted by law.
Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Granosi from claims, damages, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your User Content, your misuse of the service, or your violation of these Terms or applicable law.
Governing Law and Disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of Brazil, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, except where mandatory consumer protection laws in your country of residence require otherwise.
Before initiating formal legal proceedings, please contact us to try to resolve the dispute informally. Where permitted by law, courts in Brazil shall have jurisdiction over disputes not resolved amicably.
Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top will reflect the latest revision. Continued use of Granosi after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. Material changes may also be communicated through the app or this website where appropriate.
